Why is my IPTV not working right now?
Is the problem on your side or the server?
Match what you see to the most likely cause.
| What you see | Most likely cause | Try first |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube and Netflix fail too | Home internet or an ISP outage | Restart the modem, check your ISP status page |
| One channel is black, others play | That single stream | Pick another channel or a backup version of it |
| Every channel fails, YouTube works | App, login or provider server | Check the plan end date, then test on a phone |
| Plays on the phone, not on the TV | The TV device or its Wi-Fi | Restart the stick or box, try a cable |
| Plays, then freezes every few seconds | Speed or weak Wi-Fi | Check speed on the TV device |
| "Account expired" or "invalid login" | Plan ended, or a typo | Check the end date, retype the password |
What should you check, step by step?
Go in this order, since the first steps fix most cases:
- Quit the app completely, then open it again. On Android TV and Fire TV, use Settings, Applications, then Force stop.
- Unplug the TV device from power for 30 seconds.
- Restart the modem and router. Unplug them for 30 seconds and give them two or three minutes to reconnect.
- Test the speed on the TV device itself, not your phone. The free CIRA Internet Performance Test works well; look for about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 for 4K.
- Confirm your plan is active. Many apps show the expiry date on the account or playlist screen. A wrong date on the device can also break sign-in.
- Try another device or app with the same login. Playing fine there means the first device is at fault.
- Clear the app cache or reload the playlist, then update the app.
If channels play but keep stuttering, our stutter and freeze fixes for IPTV go deeper, and this speed guide explains what your plan needs.
Is IPTV down in Ontario or across Canada?
IPTV is not one network that fails for everybody. Every provider operates separate servers, so whether "IPTV is down" depends on which service you use. Lists online claiming to show "which IPTV services are working today" are rarely current; your own provider's support is the reliable source.
When it seems that every service in a province failed at once, the cause is often the internet provider. A big ISP outage, such as the July 2022 Rogers outage, stops all streaming on that network. Canadian courts have also ordered some internet providers to block certain servers, which can make one service fail on one ISP while it works on another. If you suspect anything like this, ask your provider's support what they are seeing.
What should you tell support?
Put these six facts in your first message: your device and app, the channel name, the time it failed, the exact error text or a picture of it, your speed result, and whether YouTube plays. "Nothing works" takes ten messages to untangle; those details usually take one.
What does King IPTV do when a channel goes down?
We aim for 99.9% uptime and keep backup streams for busy channels, but any service can have a bad moment. When a channel fails, tell us in English or French through Live Chat on our support page, open every day from 9 a.m. to midnight Eastern. We can switch the stream, move your account to another server, or confirm a wider issue and give you an estimate. Outside those hours, email help@supportiptv.ca and we pick it up first thing in the morning.

Why does my IPTV only struggle at night?
Evenings are when the whole neighbourhood streams, so both your home network and your internet provider are at their busiest. Wire the TV to the router, pause big downloads during the game, and if it only happens on one provider's servers at peak times, tell their support.
Does restarting the modem really help?
Often, yes. Modems and routers run for weeks without a break, and a restart clears memory, renews the connection with your internet provider and picks a fresh Wi-Fi channel. Unplug both for 30 seconds, plug the modem in first, wait until its lights settle, then the router.
Why do all channels say "stream not available"?
That message usually points to the login rather than the channels: an expired plan, too many screens playing at once, or a server address typed wrong. Check whether another family member is watching on a second device, confirm the end date, then retype the server URL. If all three look fine, contact your provider, because their server may be under maintenance.
