King IPTV

King IPTV on PC & Mac

Watch IPTV on a Windows PC or Mac with VLC or a Desktop Player

A computer makes a handy second screen while someone else has the TV. You need one free program and your King IPTV email.

  • Roughly 10 minutes start to finish
  • Same steps for trial and paid logins

Windows PC & Mac IPTV setup guide: install King IPTV step by step

For IPTV on a Windows PC or Mac, the fastest route is VLC media player: paste your King IPTV M3U link into Media > Open Network Stream on Windows, or File > Open Network on a Mac. It plays live channels within a minute, but VLC has no real TV guide. For a program grid plus movies and series, install IPTVnator, a free open-source player for Windows, macOS and Linux that accepts the Xtream Codes login. Budget about 10 minutes either way.

Have these ready first

  • A Windows 10 or 11 computer, or a Mac on a recent macOS
  • Permission to install programs (an administrator account)
  • The M3U link and Xtream Codes details from your King IPTV email, or a free 24-hour trial login
  • A wired connection or strong Wi-Fi; office and school networks often block the ports streams use
  • Optional: an HDMI cable, plus a USB-C to HDMI adapter for a MacBook Air

From download to first channel on a computer

Steps 1 to 6 set up VLC. Steps 7 to 9 add IPTVnator for the guide grid and movie library.

  1. Download VLC from VideoLAN

Get the installer from the official VideoLAN download page; VLC is free and run by a non-profit. Other download sites wrap it in adware, so avoid them. Run the installer with the default options.

  2. Copy the M3U link from your email

It is one long line that begins with http:// and holds your username and password. Select all of it; a missing last character is the usual reason it fails.

  3. Open the network stream window

On Windows choose Media > Open Network Stream (shortcut Ctrl+N). On a Mac choose File > Open Network (Cmd+N).

  4. Paste the link and click Play

Paste into the box labelled Please enter a network URL and click Play (on the Mac, Open). VLC reads the whole list before playing the first entry; with the Full Channels package the window can freeze for 30 seconds or so.

  5. Show the playlist and search it

On Windows open View > Playlist (Ctrl+L); on a Mac click the playlist button at the bottom of the player. Type a channel name into the search box and double-click the result.

  6. Save the list for next time

On Windows use Media > Save Playlist to File (Ctrl+Y) and keep the file on your desktop; on a Mac use File > Save Playlist. Double-clicking that file later reopens every channel.

  7. Install IPTVnator for a TV guide

Download it from the IPTVnator releases page on GitHub: the .exe for Windows or the .dmg for Intel and Apple silicon Macs. If macOS refuses to open it, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

  8. Add King IPTV as an Xtream Code source

Click the button to add a playlist and pick the Xtream Code option. Enter a title, the server URL with its port, your username and your password, then save. This brings in guide data automatically, which an M3U link in VLC does not.

  9. Open live TV and check the guide

Start a channel and look at the listings beside it; movies and series sit in their own sections. If listings stay blank, our TV guide troubleshooting post lists the causes.

How to put IPTV from a laptop on your TV

Plug an HDMI cable from the laptop into the TV, switch the TV to that HDMI input, then tell the computer how to use the second screen.

  • Windows: press Windows+P and choose Duplicate or Second screen only. If sound stays on the laptop, click the speaker icon in the taskbar and pick the TV.
  • Mac: recent 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models have an HDMI port; a MacBook Air needs a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Adjust mirroring in System Settings > Displays and pick the TV under Sound > Output.
  • No cable: Windows+K casts to Miracast TVs, and a Mac can AirPlay to an Apple TV or an AirPlay-ready TV from Control Centre.

Keep the charger connected and stop the screen from sleeping mid-game: on Windows in Settings > System > Power & battery, on a Mac in System Settings > Lock Screen. For a permanent setup, a Fire TV Stick is simpler.

Fixing VLC and computer playback problems

When VLC says "Your input can't be opened", the link is usually incomplete, the trial has ended or every screen on the plan is busy. Copy the link again from the email and close streams on other devices.

  • Stutter every few seconds: in VLC open Tools > Preferences, set Show settings to All, select Input / Codecs and raise Network caching (ms) to 3000.
  • Works at home, fails at work: corporate and campus firewalls often block the port in the server address; nothing on your PC can change that.
  • Fans roar and video drops frames: check that hardware-accelerated decoding is on in VLC’s Input / Codecs settings, and close browser tabs playing video.
  • Slow playlist: ask us for the shorter English Channels Only package.

For network-side fixes, read the IPTV buffering guide, or message King IPTV Live Chat with a screenshot of the error.

Keyboard shortcuts that make VLC feel like a TV

A few keys turn VLC into a remote: F toggles full screen, the space bar pauses, N jumps to the next channel and P goes back one. On Windows, Ctrl with the up or down arrow changes the volume. Want two games side by side? Open a second VLC window; each window is one stream, so your plan needs two screens.

PC & Mac IPTV questions

Can I watch King IPTV in a web browser?

Not directly. Browsers cannot open an M3U playlist of thousands of live channels the way a media player can, so you still need a program such as VLC or IPTVnator. Both are free, install in a couple of minutes and stop running when you close them.

Does VLC show a TV guide for IPTV?

No. VLC plays the channels in your M3U list but does not draw a program grid. If you want to see what is on now and next, use IPTVnator with your Xtream Codes login, or MyIPTV Player on Windows with the guide link we send. Both build a grid from that data.

Can I use King IPTV on a Chromebook?

Most recent Chromebooks run Android apps from Google Play, so you can install a player like GSE Smart IPTV and follow our Android phone and tablet guide. On a Chromebook without Google Play, a Linux-enabled model can run IPTVnator instead.

How many computers can use one King IPTV login?

Install the players on as many computers as you like; your plan limits how many streams play together, from 1 to 5 screens. A 1-screen year costs $78 CAD and a 3-screen year $178 CAD. Details are on the subscription page, and the free trial lets you test first.
