Indian IPTV in Canada: Hindi and Punjabi Channels, Cricket Times and Setup
Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu TV reaches Canada through cable theme packs, network apps, cricket services and IPTV. Here is what each route gives, when India’s home cricket airs on your clock this winter, and how to keep the app simple for parents.

On King IPTV, Indian channels sit in the South Asian group of the Full Channels package. The shorter English Channels Only list leaves that group out. So pick Full Channels at checkout, even if most of the house watches in English. One login then covers Hindi serials, Punjabi news, Canadian channels and the kids’ cartoons.
Indian IPTV is one of several routes, and the first table below compares them. The clock matters too. Since B.C., Alberta and Manitoba stopped changing time on 1 November 2026, cricket from India lands at different hours across Canada than it did last winter. You can browse every category on the King IPTV channel list.
What are the ways to watch Indian TV in Canada?
Indian TV reaches Canadian homes in five main ways: cable theme packs, network apps, live TV apps, a cricket service and IPTV. Each route suits a different home and is paid for differently, as the table below shows. Many families combine two, such as IPTV for everyday channels and a cricket service for big series.
| Route | What you get | How you pay | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cable or fibre theme pack | Channels from ATN, a Canadian broadcaster, added to a Rogers, Bell or Telus TV package | Monthly, on top of a base TV package | Homes that keep cable and a TV box |
| Network apps such as ZEE5 or SonyLIV | One network’s serials and films, with some live channels | Monthly or yearly; check each app’s Canadian site | Following one network’s shows on demand |
| Live TV apps such as YuppTV | Live channels sold in language packs | Monthly or yearly; check the official site | Live TV from one company without cable |
| Willow by Cricbuzz on TrillerTV | Cricket only: the IPL, ICC events and many series | $8.99 CAD a month or $79.99 a year at its November 2025 launch | Cricket fans |
| IPTV service such as King IPTV | Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu channels, Canadian channels and 190,000+ movies and series | From $18 CAD for a month, paid once by Interac e-Transfer | One app and one login for the whole family |
Theme packs, network apps, live TV apps and Willow are sold by the channel owners or by partners that buy the rights. An IPTV service works differently. King IPTV does not host or store the channels: streams come from third-party providers, and King IPTV provides access and technical support. Our plain guide on whether IPTV is legal in Canada explains the rules, as general information and not legal advice.
IPTV is not the right fit for every home. On slow or capped rural internet, including satellite plans, a cable theme pack is more dependable. If you only follow one network’s serials, that network’s own app may be all you need. And King IPTV’s Live Chat works in English and French only, not in Hindi or Punjabi.
Which South Asian languages does Indian IPTV cover?
Indian IPTV at King IPTV covers Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu in one South Asian group of the Full Channels package. Gujarati, Bengali, Telugu and Malayalam usually have fewer channels, so search for them by name. Line-ups change from time to time, so check your family’s channels before you pay.
The group follows the size of each community. As Statistics Canada put it in May 2026: “Punjabi (942,000 speakers), Hindi (761,000) and Urdu (415,000) ranked among the most spoken non-official languages in Canada in 2021.” Here is what each language’s channels usually carry.
| Language | Speakers in Canada (2021 census) | Usual channel types |
|---|---|---|
| Punjabi | About 942,000 | News from Punjab, music videos, Gurbani and kirtan, kabaddi when a channel carries it |
| Hindi | About 761,000 | Family serials, film channels, news, music and devotional programs |
| Urdu | About 415,000 | Pakistani news, weekly dramas and religious programs |
| Tamil | About 238,000 | Films, serials and news from Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka |
| Gujarati | About 209,000 | News and general entertainment, with festival shows around Navratri |
| Bengali | About 121,000 | News, serials and films from Kolkata and Bangladesh |
Test the group with the free 24-hour trial before you pay. Open it, search for the channels your parents ask about, and play each one for a few minutes at the hour they usually watch. For city detail, our IPTV Brampton and IPTV Mississauga pages cover local languages, basement suites and internet providers.
How do you set up Indian IPTV for parents and grandparents?
Indian IPTV is easiest for older relatives when each TV shows a short list instead of the full guide. Hide the groups nobody watches, put the family’s channels in Favourites and check the device clock. One device and one player app per TV, such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro on a Google TV box or a Fire OS stick, keeps the remote simple.
- Choose Full Channels. It is the package with the South Asian group, so pick it at checkout.
- Hide what nobody watches. In TiviMate, open Settings > Playlists, select your playlist and choose Manage groups. Switch off the languages and regions you skip.
- Build Favourites. Long-press OK on each channel and add it to favourites. TiviMate needs Premium for this, while IPTV Smarters Pro does it in the free app.
- Pick the film’s language. Some on-demand films carry more than one audio track. During playback, open the player’s menu and look for Audio or Audio track.
- Check the clock. Set each device to your real time zone, so the guide shows local start times.
- Write it down. Tape a card next to the TV with three steps: open the app, open Favourites, press Back.
How many screens does a South Asian household need?
Count the screens that play at the same moment on your busiest evening. Installing the app on extra devices costs nothing, because only the ones playing at once count. A grandparent’s room, the living room and a teenager’s phone already make 3.
| Screens at once | 1 month | 12 months | 12 months, per screen per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $18 | $78 | $6.50 |
| 2 | $28 | $128 | $5.33 |
| 3 | $38 | $178 | $4.94 |
| 4 | $48 | $228 | $4.75 |
| 5 | $58 | $278 | $4.63 |
On the yearly plan, 5 screens come to about $4.63 per screen per month. The King IPTV subscription page lists the 3- and 6-month prices too. There is no automatic renewal, and existing customers can extend the same login at checkout.
How many hours ahead is India from Canada after 1 November 2026?
India is 12.5 hours ahead of British Columbia, 11.5 hours ahead of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and 10.5 hours ahead of Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec from 1 November 2026. Pakistan is half an hour less in each case. Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada move their clocks forward on 14 March 2027, while the West stays put.
| Where you live | India, 1 Nov to 13 Mar | India, from 14 Mar 2027 | Pakistan, 1 Nov to 13 Mar |
|---|---|---|---|
| British Columbia (Vancouver, Surrey) | 12.5 hours | 12.5 hours | 12 hours |
| Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton) | 11.5 hours | 11.5 hours | 11 hours |
| Saskatchewan (Regina, Saskatoon) | 11.5 hours | 11.5 hours | 11 hours |
| Manitoba (Winnipeg) | 10.5 hours | 10.5 hours | 10 hours |
| Ontario and Quebec (Toronto, Brampton, Montreal) | 10.5 hours | 9.5 hours | 10 hours |
| Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (Halifax) | 9.5 hours | 8.5 hours | 9 hours |
| Newfoundland (St. John’s) | 9 hours | 8 hours | 8.5 hours |
Sri Lanka keeps India’s time, Nepal is 15 minutes ahead of India and Bangladesh is 30 minutes ahead. None of these countries changes its clocks. One change is easy to miss: this winter, Winnipeg shares Toronto’s clock, because Manitoba kept summer time.
Live morning shows from India now arrive the evening before. A 9 a.m. show in Delhi starts at 10:30 p.m. in Toronto and 8:30 p.m. in Vancouver. If the TV guide looks an hour off after 1 November, the device clock is usually to blame, and our IPTV British Columbia page shows a quick fix.

India’s 2026-27 home season runs to early March 2027, and its T20Is start at 7 p.m. in India: 8:30 a.m. in Toronto and Winnipeg, 6:30 a.m. in Vancouver. ODIs start at 2 p.m. in India, in the middle of the Canadian night. Each Test day begins the evening before in most of Canada.

| St. John’s | 5 a.m. | 10 a.m. | 12:30 a.m. |
The Guwahati Test, from 11 to 15 February, starts half an hour earlier, at 9 a.m. in India. The first Test in Nagpur starts at 9:30 a.m. on 21 January there, which is 11 p.m. on 20 January in Toronto and 9 p.m. in Vancouver.
Finding the match, and watching night games later
Which service shows a series in Canada depends on who bought the rights, and that changes from series to series. In King IPTV, cricket appears in the sports groups, and inside the South Asian group when a channel there carries it. Search the channel list for “cricket” the day before, so you know where to go.
For an ODI that starts at 3:30 a.m. in Toronto, catch-up helps. On channels that keep an archive, you can start the match from the first ball after breakfast. Our guide to IPTV catch-up and recording explains how it works and how long archives last.
Spring brings the IPL. From 14 March 2027, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada move their clocks forward and the West stays put. If the IPL keeps its 2026 slots, its 7:30 p.m. evening games in India will start at 10 a.m. in Toronto and 9 a.m. in Winnipeg. In Calgary they start at 8 a.m., and in Vancouver at 7 a.m.
