MyTVOnline Guide for Formuler: Versions 2, 3 and 4 Explained
MyTVOnline looks different on every Formuler, because each model family runs its own version. Here is which one you have, where each menu sits, and how to set up the guide, favourites and recording.

MyTVOnline is the live TV app Formuler puts on its boxes, and the version you see depends on the model you own. A Z10 runs MyTVOnline 2, a Z11 Pro or Z mini runs MyTVOnline 3, and the Z12 series runs MyTVOnline 4. The app never brings channels: you add a login from your IPTV service.
The fact that saves the most time: the same login works in all three versions, but the menus move. Below is a map of where each setting sits. For the first portal setup screen by screen, follow our MAG and Formuler setup guide.
What is MyTVOnline?
MyTVOnline is Formuler’s own IPTV player, built into its Z-series Android boxes. MyTVOnline lays out live channels in a cable-style guide and adds films, series, favourites and recording to a USB drive. MyTVOnline holds no channels of its own, so everything you watch comes from the portal, Xtream Codes login or M3U link you add.
A Formuler sold with channels “already loaded” carries a seller’s login, not anything from Formuler, and it can stop at any time. Phones and tablets get a separate Formuler app, MYTVOnline+, free with ads on Google Play and the App Store.
Which MyTVOnline version does your Formuler run?
Your Formuler model decides your MyTVOnline version. Older boxes such as the GTV, Z8 and Z10 series run MyTVOnline 2. The Z11 Pro, Z11 Pro Max and Z mini run MyTVOnline 3. The Z12 Ultra, Z12 Ultra SE and Z12 Pro run MyTVOnline 4, which Formuler released as an update in August 2026.
| Version | Formuler models | Where your login goes | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| MyTVOnline 2 | GTV, Z10, Z10 SE, Z10 Pro, Z10 Pro Max, Z8, Z8 Pro, Z Alpha, Z+ Neo, Z7+ and Z7+ 5G | Menu > Connections | No upgrade to version 3 |
| MyTVOnline 3 | Z11 Pro, Z11 Pro Max, Z mini | Menu > Content Manager > Content Sources | A setup wizard runs after each new login |
| MyTVOnline 4 | Z12 Ultra, Z12 Ultra SE, Z12 Pro | Menu > Settings > App Settings > Content Sources | Up to 4 profiles; early Z12 Ultra boxes run version 3 until updated |
Formuler does not move boxes up a generation: Z10 owners have asked for version 3, and the Z10 series still runs version 2. The MyTVOnline 4 release notes are just as clear about the newest app: “MYTVOnline 4 is available exclusively on Formuler Z12 Series devices.”
Not sure which box you have? The model name is printed on the label under the box.
Where each setting sits in versions 2, 3 and 4
The settings you use most sit in different places in each MyTVOnline version. Labels can shift a little after a firmware update, but these paths match Formuler’s own help articles in 2026.
| Task | MyTVOnline 2 | MyTVOnline 3 | MyTVOnline 4 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Add a portal, Xtream or M3U login | Menu > Connections > Add Portal or Add Playlist | Menu > Content Manager > Content Sources | Menu > Settings > App Settings > Content Sources |
| Refresh channels, films and series | From the app’s menu settings | Settings > Content Manager > Data Sync > Contents Data > Refresh | Content Sources > your portal > Refresh Content |
| Edit favourites | Live TV > Channel List, then LEFT for the editor | Menu > Content Manager > Manage Favorites | Reworked group tools in version 4 |
How do you add your IPTV login in MyTVOnline?
MyTVOnline accepts three login types: a portal tied to the box’s ID, an Xtream Codes login, or an M3U playlist link. Open the Content Sources menu for your version (Connections in version 2), choose the type your provider sent, type the details and select Connect.
- Portal (MAC ID): send your provider the ID shown on MyTVOnline’s add-portal screen, which starts with 00:1A. Then type the portal URL they send back.
- Xtream Codes: enter the server URL, username and password. Nothing needs registering, and the login can move to another device later. Our Xtream Codes login guide explains each field.
- M3U: paste the playlist link, plus the EPG (XMLTV) link for the TV guide. Without that second link, channels play but the guide stays empty.
The most common portal mistake is sending the wrong number. The network MAC in the Android settings usually starts with 00:1E:B8, and a portal registered to it will not connect. Copy the 00:1A ID from inside MyTVOnline, or ask your provider for Xtream Codes instead.
The MyTVOnline 3 setup wizard
MyTVOnline 3 runs a setup wizard right after a new login connects, and Formuler makes it compulsory. The wizard asks which Live TV, VOD and TV Series groups to show. Hiding groups you will never watch keeps the channel list short and quick to scroll. You can change your choice later under Content Manager > Manage Groups > Show & Hide Groups.
Version 3 also keeps several logins connected at once, so you no longer switch between portals. Want to see it with real channels before paying? Ask for the free 24-hour King IPTV trial, say you use a Formuler, and add the 00:1A ID if you prefer a portal to Xtream Codes.
How do you fix the TV guide in MyTVOnline?
MyTVOnline guide problems usually have one of three causes: data that has not downloaded yet, a wrong clock on the box, or a guide feed set to another time zone. Refresh the content first, then check the box’s date and time zone. Use the EPG offset only when listings are still shifted by whole hours after that.
- Refresh. In version 3, open Settings > Content Manager > Data Sync > Contents Data > Refresh. In version 4, press OK while watching, press LEFT twice, open the “...” button and refresh Live TV.
- Check the clock. Open the Android settings, choose Date & time, turn on network time and pick your own time zone.
- Set the offset. In version 3, open Content Manager > Content Source, select your portal and Edit, scroll down to EPG offset, set the hours and press UPDATE.
Canadian time zones cause most offset problems. A guide exactly three hours off in Vancouver usually means the box or the feed is set to Eastern time. Our guide to a blank or wrong IPTV TV guide covers fixes that apply to every app.
How do you set up favourites in MyTVOnline 3?
MyTVOnline 3 keeps favourites in its channel editor, under Menu > Content Manager > Manage Favorites. Formuler’s favourites editor article allows up to 10 favourite groups with up to 300 channels in each, so each person in the house can keep a short list.
- Open My groups, press Add group, type a name and press OK.
- Open your favourite list, press Add Channels, select the group, mark each channel and choose Complete.
- To rename or reorder, highlight a group or channel, long-press OK, then move it with the arrow keys.
A shortcut also reaches the editor: press OK on a live channel, then LEFT twice. Families who share one Z12 box get another option in version 4: up to 4 profiles, each with its own viewing history.
Can MyTVOnline record to a USB drive?
MyTVOnline can record live channels to a USB stick or external hard drive in versions 2, 3 and 4. Plug in the drive, press the Guide (EPG) button, pick a future programme and press RECORD or OK. Set the start, end and repeat in the pop-up window. Formuler says the box wakes from standby to record on schedule.
The drive’s format matters. Formuler’s USB format article lists FAT32, NTFS and exFAT, and FAT32 caps each file at 4 GB, which a long HD game can pass. To format on the box, open Home > Settings > Device Preferences > Storage, pick the drive and choose Erase & format as removable storage.
The Z12 Ultra SE can also record to its own internal storage, with no drive plugged in.
Recording and your screen count
Recording one channel while you watch another usually opens two streams, and IPTV services count each stream against your plan. On a one-screen plan, the second stream fails or the first one stops.
| What the box is doing | Streams, so screens needed | 1 Month (CAD) | 12 Months (CAD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Playing one channel, or recording while the TV is off | 1 | $18 | $78 |
| Watching one channel and recording another | 2 | $28 | $128 |
| Two Formulers, one also recording | 3 | $38 | $178 |
One box that sometimes records a second channel needs 2 screens. Pick the number on the King IPTV plans page, where every option from 1 to 5 screens is priced in CAD and paid once by Interac e-Transfer.
How do you update MyTVOnline?
MyTVOnline updates arrive through the Formuler box’s own Software Update app, not through Google Play. Open Software Update, check for the latest version, view the details and select Start Download. Z12 owners got MyTVOnline 4 this way in August 2026, while older models get fixes for the version they already run.
Before a big update, write down your logins or keep the welcome email.
To make MyTVOnline open when the box turns on, set it as the Startup App:
- Z11 or Z12: Home > Control Panel > Launcher Settings > Startup App.
- Z10 or Z8: Home > Launcher Settings > Startup App.
Common MyTVOnline problems and fixes
Work down this table before you reset the box, since a reset wipes every login and setting.
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Portal will not connect | Wrong ID sent, or not registered yet | Send the 00:1A ID and wait for confirmation |
| Xtream login fails | A typo, or a missing http:// or port | Retype the server URL exactly as sent |
| Channels play, the guide is empty | Data still loading, or no EPG link with M3U | Refresh, then add the EPG link |
| A recording stops early | The FAT32 4 GB file limit, or a full drive | Format the drive as exFAT or NTFS and clear space |
| A second channel will not open | More streams than your plan allows | Stop the recording, or add a screen |
Using King IPTV in MyTVOnline
King IPTV works in all three MyTVOnline versions with any of the three login types. Ask for Xtream Codes if you may move to another box later, or send the 00:1A ID for a portal. Activation usually takes 15 to 30 minutes during support hours, and King IPTV Live Chat helps with logins and the guide every day from 9 a.m. to midnight Eastern.
A Formuler is not the right buy for everyone. If you mostly watch Netflix or YouTube, a cheaper stick does the job, and on capped satellite internet IPTV struggles on any box. Our IPTV box guide for Canada compares the options.
Reader questions
Is MyTVOnline free?
Yes. MyTVOnline comes built into Formuler boxes at no extra cost, and its updates arrive free through the Software Update app. MyTVOnline has no channels, though, so you still need an IPTV service to watch anything. Formuler’s separate phone and tablet app, MYTVOnline+, is free with ads, and some of its features need a Premium subscription.
Can I install MyTVOnline 3 on a Formuler Z10?
No. Formuler keeps MyTVOnline 3 for the Z11 Pro, Z11 Pro Max and Z mini, and the Z10 series stays on MyTVOnline 2. MyTVOnline 4 goes only to the Z12 series. Version 2 still plays the same portal, Xtream Codes and M3U logins, so a Z10 works with a current IPTV service. Only the menus and extra features differ.
Can I get MyTVOnline on a Fire TV Stick or Smart TV?
Not the box version. MyTVOnline 2, 3 and 4 come only on Formuler boxes, and MYTVOnline+ is made for phones and tablets. On a Fire TV Stick, Google TV or Smart TV, use a player built for that device, such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters. Our IPTV player comparison shows which app fits each device.
Why will my portal not connect in MyTVOnline?
Usually the provider registered the wrong number. MyTVOnline shows a portal ID starting with 00:1A on the add-portal screen, and that is the one to send. The network MAC in the Android settings will not work. Check the portal URL character by character too, including http:// and the port, then connect again once the provider confirms.
Does King IPTV work with MyTVOnline?
Yes. King IPTV works in MyTVOnline 2, 3 and 4 with a portal ID, Xtream Codes or an M3U link. Mention your Formuler model when you order or ask for the free trial, and we send the login type that suits it. Activation usually takes 15 to 30 minutes during support hours.
