What Channel Is the Leafs Game On Tonight? 2026-27 Guide

Leafs games moved around this season. Here is which channel or app has them each night, how blackouts work, what each service costs in CAD, and why puck drop moves an hour later out west on November 1.

What channel is the Leafs game on tonight? Start with TSN's Leafs regional schedule, because it is the shortest list to check. If tonight's game is on it, the game airs on TSN4 for viewers in the Leafs region. If it is not, the day of the week points you to Sportsnet, Sportsnet+ or Prime Video.

The split is new this season. A national rights deal began with the 2026-27 season, CBC stopped airing NHL games, and Monday games moved to streaming only. This page covers the Leafs; for every Canadian team and the full rights picture, read how to watch hockey without cable in Canada.

How do you find what channel the Leafs game is on tonight?

Finding tonight's Leafs channel takes about a minute if you check in the right order. Look at the day of the week first, then TSN's Leafs regional schedule, then the team's own schedule page. A TV guide search on your box or app confirms the channel and the local start time.

  1. Look at the day. Monday points to Sportsnet+, Wednesday may mean Prime Video, and Saturday night usually means Sportsnet.
  2. Open TSN's Leafs schedule. It sits in the NHL section of tsn.ca and lists every Leafs game on TSN4.
  3. Check the team schedule. The Schedule page on the Maple Leafs website usually lists the broadcasters beside each game.
  4. Search your TV guide. Type "Leafs" in the guide search instead of scrolling through channels.
  5. Convert the time. Schedules use Eastern time, and several western provinces stop changing their clocks on November 1.

Broadcasters can still move a game, most often late in the season when playoff races tighten. Check on game day, not from a list you saved in October.

Which channel shows the Leafs on each night of the week?

Leafs games in 2026-27 follow a weekly pattern set by the new national deal. Rogers runs Saturday and Monday nights, Amazon has Wednesday Night Hockey, and the other nights are split between Sportsnet and TSN4. The table shows where to look first on each night, and how to watch without cable.

Where Leafs games usually air in 2026-27, night by night
NightWhere to look firstWithout cable
MondayMonday Night Hockey, streamed only on Sportsnet+Sportsnet+
WednesdayPrime Video when the Leafs are in Wednesday Night Hockey, otherwise Sportsnet or TSN4Prime Video

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, SundayTSN4 or Sportsnet: check TSN's list firstTSN's streaming plan or Sportsnet+
Any night, in FrenchTVA Sports, for the national games it carriesTVA Sports Direct

The next two weeks show the pattern. The Leafs visit Colorado on Saturday, October 10 on Sportsnet. TSN4 then has Tuesday, October 13 in Utah and Thursday, October 15 against Buffalo. Monday, October 19 against San Jose streams on Sportsnet+ at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, and Thursday, October 22 against the Rangers is back on TSN4.

In an IPTV player, the guide search is often the fastest check of all. Open the TV guide, choose search and type Leafs: any channel in your list with the game in the next few days shows up. You can practise that search during a free 24-hour King IPTV trial before puck drop. If the guide comes up empty, our fix for a blank IPTV TV guide usually sorts it out.

Who carries Leafs games in 2026-27?

Five broadcasters carry Leafs games in Canada in 2026-27: Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, TSN4, Prime Video and, in French, TVA Sports. Rogers holds the national NHL rights and owns Sportsnet. Bell's TSN keeps part of the Leafs' regional schedule, and Amazon has Wednesday nights under a long-term deal.

Sportsnet+Every Sportsnet game, plus Monday Night HockeySubscribers in Canada; regional limits apply
TSN4About 26 regional gamesViewers inside the Leafs region only
Prime VideoSix Wednesday gamesAmazon Prime members across Canada
TVA SportsNational games in FrenchViewers across Canada

The TSN count comes from TSN's streaming plans page, which lists 26 Leafs regular-season games within the region. The NHL's Wednesday Night Hockey schedule puts six Leafs games on Prime Video. They include the September 30 opener against the Islanders and the St. Patrick's Day game against Tampa Bay on March 17.

Sportsnet's reach also grew. Rogers lifted many regional blackouts this season, so a Leafs game on Sportsnet often reaches fans in Calgary or Halifax as well as Ontario.

Why is the Leafs game blacked out for me?

A Leafs game is blacked out when the service you opened does not hold that game where you are. Leafs games on TSN4 are regional, so TSN shows them only inside the Leafs region. Opening Sportsnet+ for a TSN4 game, or signing in to TSN from Vancouver, brings up a blackout message.

TSN's plans page gives the example of a Toronto resident who travels to Vancouver and finds a Leafs game blocked. The same page sums up the rule in one line: "These blackouts occur when a game is broadcast in one region but is restricted in another due to NHL regional broadcast rights."

What counts as the Leafs region?

The Leafs region covers most of Ontario. TSN's help pages describe it as Ontario excluding the Ottawa Valley, which falls in the Senators' region along with Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

Apps decide where you are from your postal code and your internet connection, not from the team you grew up with. A Leafs fan in Calgary or Halifax is out of market for TSN4 games, so Sportsnet+ Premium and Prime Video are the usual route. Our IPTV Ontario page covers the province's other teams, local channels and internet providers.

What does it cost to watch every Leafs game without cable?

Watching every Leafs regular-season game without cable takes three services inside the Leafs region: Sportsnet+, TSN's streaming plan and Prime Video. At list prices that is about $60 a month before tax, plus an Amazon Prime membership. Outside the region, Sportsnet+ Premium and Prime Video usually cover it.

What Leafs fans pay in October 2026, in Canadian dollars before tax
ServicePriceWhat it adds for a Leafs fan
Sportsnet+ Standard$34.99 a month or $269.99 a yearSportsnet games and Monday Night Hockey
Sportsnet+ Premium$44.99 a month or $344.99 a yearStandard plus out-of-market games, for fans outside the region
TSN Standard$24.99 a monthLeafs games on TSN4, inside the region
Prime VideoIncluded with Amazon PrimeSix Wednesday games, in English or French
Monday add-on for TV customers$12.99 a monthMonday Night Hockey through a cable or satellite package

Rogers raised Sportsnet+ prices in September 2026, and the Sportsnet+ site has the current plans, including the Monday add-on for TV customers. The TSN price comes from TSN's own plans page. Some TV providers include the Monday add-on, so look at your package before you buy it. Prices change often, so confirm on each official site before you pay.

Where does IPTV fit for Leafs fans?

IPTV is live TV delivered over the internet through an app, and it is one way Canadians replace a cable box. King IPTV includes Canadian sports channels in English and French, plus American and international sports, grouped by category in the TV guide. We do not promise any network, league package or specific Leafs game.

The categories are set out on our channel list, and lineups can change. Plans start at $18 for one month or $78 for 12 months on one screen, paid once by Interac e-Transfer with no contract. Every price is on the King IPTV subscription page, and our plain-language guide is IPTV legal in Canada answers questions about the rules.

King IPTV is not the right choice if you need to be sure one particular Leafs broadcast, with its official commentary, will be there. The official services above are the dependable route for that. IPTV is also a poor fit on slow or capped rural internet, where any live stream struggles.

What time is the Leafs game where you live?

Leafs start times are listed in Eastern time, and the gap to your clock changes on November 1, 2026. Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada turn their clocks back that day. British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories no longer do, so start times west of Ontario move one hour later.

Local start time of a 7 p.m. Eastern Leafs game, 2026-27
Where you liveUntil October 31November 1 to March 13
Newfoundland (the island)8:30 p.m.8:30 p.m.
Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, P.E.I.8 p.m.8 p.m.
Most of Ontario, Quebec7 p.m.7 p.m.
Manitoba6 p.m.7 p.m.
Saskatchewan, Alberta, N.W.T.5 p.m.6 p.m.
Most of B.C., Yukon4 p.m.5 p.m.

Saskatchewan and Yukon already kept one time all year, so they shift for the same reason. Late games follow the same pattern: a 10 p.m. Eastern puck drop is 7 p.m. in Vancouver until October 31, then 8 p.m. through the winter. From March 14, 2027, when Ontario and Quebec move their clocks forward, the first column applies again.

Can you listen to the Leafs game for free?

Leafs games are free on the radio in the Toronto area, on Sportsnet 590 The FAN and TSN Radio 1050, which split the season. Radio is the one way to follow Leafs games without a subscription. Todd Crocker is the new play-by-play voice this season, next to long-time colour commentator Jim Ralph.

Both stations also stream online. TSN says select Leafs games can be heard on TSN Radio 1050 and the iHeartRadio app. Online audio can carry its own regional limits, so test it before a game you care about.

Mistakes that make Leafs fans miss puck drop

Most missed starts come from habits carried over from last season. Five come up again and again:

  • Looking for Saturday games on CBC. CBC no longer airs NHL games. Saturday Night Hockey is on Sportsnet.
  • Opening the wrong app. Sportsnet+ cannot show a TSN4 game, and TSN cannot show a Sportsnet game.
  • Expecting Monday games on cable. Monday Night Hockey streams only on Sportsnet+, so TV customers need the add-on unless their package includes it.
  • Using last month's time maths. West of Ontario, games start an hour later from November 1.
  • Travelling with your login. Apps check where you are right now, so a trip outside the region can turn a TSN4 game into a blackout.

The last common cause is the connection itself. One Full HD stream needs a steady 10 Mbps or so, and Saturday evenings are when home networks are busiest. Our guide to IPTV internet speed in Canada has the numbers for every household size.

Reader questions

Is the Leafs game on TSN or Sportsnet tonight?

Check TSN's Leafs regional schedule on tsn.ca first. If tonight's game is on that list, it airs on TSN4 for viewers in the Leafs region. If it is not, the game belongs to Rogers or Amazon: Sportsnet on most nights, Sportsnet+ for Monday Night Hockey, and Prime Video on the Wednesdays the Leafs play in Wednesday Night Hockey.

Are Leafs games on CBC this season?

No. From the 2026-27 season, CBC no longer airs NHL games, so Leafs games are not on CBC. Saturday night hockey moved to Sportsnet under the name Saturday Night Hockey, a weekly doubleheader with at least one Canadian team in each game. In the Toronto area, the free option is radio, on Sportsnet 590 The FAN and TSN Radio 1050.

Why can't I watch the Leafs game on Sportsnet+?

Usually because TSN holds that game. Sportsnet+ only shows games that belong to Sportsnet, so a Leafs game on TSN4 appears blacked out there. The other common cause is location: outside the Leafs region, regional Leafs games usually need the Premium plan. Check TSN's Leafs schedule, then open the service that has tonight's game.

How many Leafs games are on Prime Video in 2026-27?

Six regular-season Leafs games are on Prime Video this season, all on Wednesday nights, according to the NHL's Prime schedule. They include the opener against the New York Islanders on September 30 and the St. Patrick's Day game against Tampa Bay on March 17. Every game is in English and French at no extra cost for Amazon Prime members in Canada.

Can I watch Leafs games if I live outside Ontario?

Yes, through the official streaming services. Sportsnet's national games and Prime Video's Wednesday games reach the whole country. TSN4 Leafs games are blocked outside the Leafs region, so fans in places like Calgary, Vancouver or Halifax usually take Sportsnet+ Premium, which carries out-of-market games. Remember that schedules list start times in Eastern time.

What time is the Leafs game in Vancouver?

A Leafs game that starts at 7 p.m. in Toronto starts at 4 p.m. in Vancouver until October 31, and at 5 p.m. from November 1. British Columbia no longer turns its clocks back in the fall, while Ontario still does. A game at 10 p.m. in Toronto moves from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Vancouver. When Ontario springs forward on March 14, 2027, the three-hour gap returns.
